Massage for the expectant mother is slow and rhythmic; mid to firm pressure is used with concentration on the important areas such as your lower back, neck, legs, and feet. Pillows are used for support so that you stay comfortable for the entire massage.
Massage is safe during all stages of pregnancy; what matters is how the pregnancy is going, the therapists experience in prenatal anatomy, and any contraindications that will be discussed with the therapist.
